Each Spring, SDCKT hosts an internationally attended sprint regatta.

The SDCKT Paddle-a-Thon is a way for the paddlers themselves to raise money for their Team. The Paddle-a-thon provides money to support our programs & coaches, repair/buy equipment, and keep costs down for Boat Trailer Transportation to USA National Club Championships each year. This is a fun filled, energetic, one day event involving all paddlers from Development & Racing through Collegiate & Masters.

Each Spring, the public is invited to a demonstration of Olympic style Canoe, Kayak, Surfski and SUP. Boats, boards, paddles and life vests will be provided.

Come dressed in swim wear and have fun in the sun - try out one or all of our boats.

SDCKT celebrates Olympic Day at the Bay annually in June along with millions of people in more than 160 countries. Commemorating the birth of the modern Olympic Games, on June 23, 1894, Olympic Day’s mission is to promote fitness, well-being, culture and education, while promoting the Olympic values – excellence, friendship and respect – and the three Olympic Day pillars – move, learn and discover – in every corner of the globe.

Each Summer, SDCKT attends the US National Championships held at various venues throughout the country.

Each Fall at the end of the racing season, we host an awards dinner for SDCKT Members and families.

Every fall/winter the SDCKT racing Team takes part in the SOCAL ocean racing series. This is a series of ocean races at select beaches and harbors along the Southern California coast.

In the Fall and Winter we host a 5K race called the Tecolote 5000.

During Winter Break, we often host a paddling training camp for paddlers called the “Sunburn Camp” - we don’t actually encourage getting sunburned though.
